Sundae Mourning (verse II)

So the other day i had a flick through my computer hard drive looking for things to delete. My hard drive is mainly consumed of Inspiration & Music...and then the usual stuff: photos of travel/ family.

I came across scattered photographs of none other: Sundae. Videos too. He was an amazing cat. Not the friendliest but nonetheless still a good kid. They aren't good quality photos. But...it gives you an idea who Sundae was...usually grumpy. Also playful. <3

In the summertime or he was naughty he'd hide under Bec's bed. ( original owner)

being naughty in Crispy's room

Thinking he should mess up the alphabetically organized row of CDs, which he often did.

He was playing with a massive moth.

look at his cute paws

Didnt take him long to steal our seats and expect us to move & not be bothered by it...

and our bed.

His str8 edge sleeper pose- haha

just chillin' in the recycling bin

Just chillin' & waiting for some one to pounce on- usually crispy, haha

Goodbye old friend. xoxoxox

Just another Sundae mourning

Growing up with asthma from birth (thanks dad), i was never allowed pets till several years later i moved out. The house i moved into well i kinda just slid in, hoping no one would question me. I was dating someone in the house at the time. I wasnt a squatter- haha. I would always clean the kitchen & paid some rent. Well this house had a cat. A cute grumpy cat. Fat one too. Not too fat but too fat to pick up. Though he hated being picked up or being touched. His name was Sundae. There was 3 other girls not including myself & 1 other boy. And each time one of us left or came home we would each feed him. Not only did WE feed him, Sundae would always be hungry, he was also being fed by the weird old fella next door- who obsessed on mowing/trimming his yard every day. He didnt actually have much grass. Most of which were pavers, but he insisted on cutting. He once or twice came over asking for re-reimbursement for cat food, we were like um NO!  Just dont feed our cat!
1 girl left to do work experience in the outback somewhere for her teaching degree, leaving Sundae to all of us. I lived there for about a year. After i left i heard the place got put up for sale. Everyone eventually left.

Sundae left with Jade, who was the only girl i actually liked in the house. She took in Sundae & forced/trained him to love her back. They became a great team. Last time i heard from the pair was late last year. Technically i heard it on facebook. But lets just say i heard it from Jade. August 17th, 2010 He passed on to better pastures.
I'm not sure how a little creature with a furry face and grumpy personality could touch my heart so much over the past 3 years of knowing him. Over the past year he really has become one of my closest friends, the best confidant I've ever had. While he was grumpy 70% of the time, his temper made me laugh and his moments of affection were always at the right time when I needed it most. I hope there is a cat heaven and you're happy there and know that I love you a billion. I'll miss you so much Sundae, my friend. xoxo
Sundae was our friend. I miss you. You were my first experience of "owning" a cat. Living with you was a delight. You taught me well. And to you Sundae- I thank you. xoxox
